The session was opened and moderated by Georg Yrke, Communication Manager at Geminor. Kirstie Jones-Williams, Director of Innovation and Sustainability, led the presentation, covering what RED III means in practice: how different waste fractions are classified, what documentation is required across the supply chain, and where compliance responsibility sits.
What participants told us
Live polling during the session gave a clear indication of where the industry currently stands.
Half of the respondents already have a RED III compliance process in place. The remaining respondents are at different stages, from early exploration to planning and implementation.
The biggest challenge reported was obtaining supplier data (46%), followed by performing the required calculations (38%) and understanding the directive’s requirements (31%).
The session was rated 4.7 out of 5 for usefulness.
