Rasmussen brings over 20 years of experience from the transport and logistics sector, having held senior roles in Denmark, Norway and the Netherlands. He joins Geminor with a strong track record in managing cross-border operations and regional logistics teams.
The appointment follows a period of interim leadership in Denmark. “We are pleased to have found a permanent solution that brings continuity and renewed strategic focus to our operations,” says Kasper Houmark Thomsen, Chief Operating Officer at Geminor.
Rasmussen takes on the role at a time when the Danish waste sector is undergoing regulatory changes, with increased attention to CO₂ emissions and higher recycling targets. “The market is changing, and that means we need to stay flexible and maintain close dialogue with our partners,” says Rasmussen. “My focus is to ensure stability in existing operations while supporting carefully considered development where it brings long-term value.”
He sees potential to further strengthen Geminor’s position in Denmark by building on the diversity already present across the group. “Any development must be rooted in our existing strengths. Denmark reflects much of the operational variety we see across Geminor, and that gives us a solid foundation for the future,” he says.
Rasmussen is based outside Copenhagen and will work from Geminor’s office in Aarhus. He describes his leadership style as collaborative and pragmatic. “Geminor Denmark has many capable specialists. My role is to support their work, ensure good structure, and help align our efforts to serve both customers and colleagues. We’re here to create value for our customers, for our partners, and for Geminor. That means building strong, win-win relationships based on trust, dialogue, and clear delivery.”
COO Kasper Houmark Thomsen sees the appointment as part of a broader effort to further strengthen Geminor’s presence in a key market. “Jens brings valuable logistics expertise and experience in leading international teams. At a time when supply chain flexibility and operational reliability are more important than ever, his background is highly relevant,” says Thomsen.
